Minor Illnesses

If you would like advice about minor ailments (such as coughs and colds, eye infections, thrush symptoms) then your pharmacist will often be able to help you, even without a prescription.

You can also phone NHS Direct on 0845 4647 or visit their website

www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk where you can look up symptoms and get advice on treatments.

The minor illness section on our website gives a lot of useful information about a number of common conditions and for the vast majority of them you do not need to make an appointment with your doctor. However, the doctors and nurses are also happy to answer any non-urgent questions by telephone if you would find this helpful. Please call the surgery after 11am to leave a message and telephone number and we will return the call as soon as possible after we have finished seeing patients.
