The NHS have asked everyone over 70 to get in touch with them to book a Coronavirus vaccination if they have not had an invitation already, via the online portal here. Previously the policy was that people should wait until they received a letter or text but this has now changed for the highest 4 priority groups. So anyone who has been missed can now come forward.
The top 4 priority groups are:
- residents in a care home for older adults and their carers
- all those 80 years of age and over and frontline health and social care workers
- all those 75 years of age and over
- all those 70 years of age and over and clinically extremely vulnerable individuals (definition of extremely vulnerable groups is available here)
Anyone unable to book through the NHS website can call 119 free of charge, which is open from 7am-11pm seven days a week.
